- The 8th International Conference: Researching Work and Learning (RWL8)
The over-arching theme for the conference will be ‘The visible and invisible in work and learning.’ What knowledge, which actors, and what parts of the environment are most visible? What and who remains invisible? When do actors become aware of invisible infrastructures? And what research methods and analytical approaches can make the invisible visible?
- The 4th International Conference on Sustainability Transitionse
Transitions of socio-technical systems such as energy supply, transportation, water and sanitation or food supply, towards more sustainable modes of production and consumption have received increasing attention in recent years. There is a fast growing international community of scholars approaching the field of ‘sustainability transitions’ from a range of different disciplines including innovation studies, science and technology studies, management studies, political science and economics, among others. The 4th IST conference in Zurich will be a platform to further stimulate the exchange among researchers in the field, to present latest empirical studies, and to discuss conceptual and methodological advances. A particular aim of this conference is to build bridges to established strands of research outside the ‘traditional core’ or transition studies as well as to researchers outside of Europe.
